Kellogg Volunteering To celebrate World Food Day, Kellogg organized different activities globally. One of them was volunteering in a broccoli plot supporting the harvest program. The Kellogg team was able to experience the entire process. They began by collecting the broccoli that was left on the plot before the shredding phase, placing them in baskets to take them to the supply center, where the Querétaro Food Bank currently operates, and finally helping to put together complete pantry packages for then put them on the different trucks that take the food to vulnerable communities. “The objective of activities like this is to raise awareness among our collaborators so that they know the work we do through the Food Bank to rescue fruits and vegetables. We have this program running on different ranches, greenhouses and fields to rescue what is not sold from the harvest…” stated Jessica Daniel, corporate affairs manager for Kellogg Latin America. In 2018, Kellogg, in addition to the monthly donation of products, granted around 35 thousand dollars to the Food Bank, which is expected to benefit more than 150 thousand people through the recovery of products.
