Finale
Houseguests: Candice Stewart, Jackie Ibarra
Candice and Jackie both made it as far as they could go in the game. It was time to prove why they should win the game. Nicole was up first to address the ladies.
Nicole: Jackie Just to clear the air for some people, when I put you on the block during my HOH reign, you were not a pawn originally. I wanted you out because you had been laying so low in the game that I thought you were basically inactive. Because we had been in an alliance since the beginning, I talked it out with you and saved you with POV because you explained yourself. Yet, in the final four where you were the sole vote, you would not talk it out with me.
You pretended like you might change your mind, but you were set no matter what. We had worked together since the very beginning of the game, and we had even talked final 2 at the end. i had your back, but you did not have mine at all. Was I always just a pawn in your game? When was your truly final decision to send me out of the house, if not the entire time?
Jackie: First I want to respond to your comment about nom'ing me and not being a pawn. Like I said in my original speech, with the HOH twist, I felt like it was better to lay low. If you weren't chosen for POV or nominated, it was difficult to make any overt moves. You becoming HOH fell on the 4th week in a row where I hadn't been nom'd or chosen and therefore wasn't able to do much. I still talked to some people, but yes, I admit, I got quiet during that point because it felt like repeats of the past couple week and it didn't feel like I had many moves to make with my chosen strategy at that point. I feel like I more than made up for how quiet I was those weeks with my moves in the last half of the game.
You were never a pawn to me. I always considered you and Victoria to be my closest allies. Back in the King's Court comp where I had to choose someone to be safe, I chose you for that very reason. Victoria had told me that she wanted any of the people who voted against her out and I didn't want to risk that would be you. I thought about choosing some other people for game reasons, but in the end, my loyalty to you won out and I wanted to ensure you would be safe.
When we got down to final 5, I had gone through all the notes I made at that point and realized you and Victoria were the strongest players left in the game and in order for me to make it to the end, I would have to betray both of you. I knew Victoria would have to go first because she was close to both Candice and Zach while I knew you were pretty much on your own. (Side note- Part of the reason I had chosen to evict Zach over Nick was because I had felt like you two were closer than you let on and I didn't feel comfortable leaving that relationship in the game). After Victoria was out, you became the strongest player in the game and unfortunately my next obstacle. That was when I made my initial decision. Once I won POV and knew I had to choose who to vote out between you and Candice, that still seemed to be the best bet. The main argument both you (and Zach) made was about Candice doing the vote swap. If that was the only thing you had to argue, I felt like the moves I had been making and was planning on making would more than make up for that. Meanwhile you were an extremely strong social player! You tried to argue that you hadn't made many successful moves, but the amount of times your name came up in other conversations as well as the plans I knew myself you were involved in made me question that. I also questioned that you completely had my back. A specific example of this that was on my mind is the Zach/Nick vote. Candice had shown a screenshot where you swore you voted Nick out and basically implied I was the switch vote. Later when we were trying to convince Candice not to use the veto, you said something along the lines to me "Don't tell her I didn't vote for Zach; she doesn't know." We had already talked about how close her and Victoria were. Even if I hadn't seen the screenshot, how else was I supposed to take that other than as a sign that in your opinion Candice thought I was the vote. That showed me that although you were loyal to an extent, you were not hesitating to use me to advance your own game. I didn't have any hard feelings about it because that's the game of Big Brother. Though I wanted to give you a chance to argue, nothing you told me changed my mind against it. It wasn't that I was set, it was more that you didn't have a good enough argument that keeping you in the game felt like the best strategy for me personally. The fact Zach started talking on your behalf only cemented that decision.
Voting people out is always hard to some extent, but yours and Victoria's evictions were the toughest for me. I really liked you both and hated that to get farther in the game, I had to turn against you. But as you can see from the fact I'm standing here now, those moves helped get me to where I am today.
Next up was Eddie.
Eddie: Haii you sexxxy beasts.
Congrats on making F2
*Throws Confetti*
I just have one question for the both of you..
Please pay attention, your answer might decide my vote
How many licks does it take to get too the center of a tootsieroll pop?
Candice: The world may never know....
The next juror to speak was veto queen Victoria.
Victoria: Candice I really don't have anything bad to say about you. I think you truly played an amazing game. You won competitions when needed, you played a strong social and strategic game, and you were loyal to those who were loyal to you. We were very close from the start of the game, and I trusted you 100%. With that being said, I would like to know if you actually believed Jackie when she told you not to use POV on me at final 5 because "she had a secret power" and I would like to know if you knew about Jackie and Nicole's plan to get rid of me and if so in what point of the week did you know? Please be honest as I respect honestly more than anything.
Candice: After winning the POV my intentions were to save you 100%. But then Jackie and I started talking and we thought that Nicole might have a twist or a power. Since Nicole got three checkmarks in the Mystery forum paranoia ran that Nicole might have a power or something and if any of you don't know from what yet go to the competitions sub-heading on the main page and look at the second 'i' in competitions and click on it... so with this, I truly was nervous that if Nicole would have gone up on the block she'd pull out a twist that Nick did and save herself and cause a rewind or something crazy. So with Jackie giving me her word that she'd save you, Victoria, and even if Nicole would have evicted you Jackie would be the tiebreaker, at the time, I figured you'd be safe so I played it safe and didn't use the POV. After not using it Jackie and Nicole came to me and to my surprise, they kept pushing how they you should go. I tried to defend you but their minds were set.
Long story short, I did save you and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I tried to convince Jackie to save you but her mind was made up and unfortunately you went. At the time, especially after Zach won HOH and nominated me, I thought I made the stupidest move ever by not saving you. But now that I made it all the way here I think, no offense, it was not that bad for my game. You really were a huge threat and a great player and if you would have been in the final two I think you would have won against anyone in a jury vote.
Grandma Meg was next and started tearing up as she talked.
Meg: Congrats ladies!!!!!!
*starts crying*.........*but tears of happiness this time* (lol)
So happy for the both of you!
Jackie- You were a part of my very first alliance in this game. Myself, you, Nicole and Johnny. But soon after we created this alliance, Johnny was on the block and we both decided to evict him due to inactivity. I always saw you as a threat so I wanted to keep you very close to me and target you on my own terms. We did show loyalty to each other and I did socially protect you from others at times especially in the early weeks of the game Did you feel the same about me? And do u feel if Johnny wasn't nominated so early that our alliance could have lasted longer and been more successful/trustworthy?
Candice- Sorry we didn't get to talk and be more personable early on in the game! But once you finally got AIM we tried making up for lost time which I appreciated! Too bad we were up on the block together, I fucked myself by casting my extra vote for myself...hahaha that was meeeee lol, but good job on using your POV advantage at the right time! I also had the players gon play advantage that I never had to use! Since our advantages had an expiration date, and we all seemed to use it the very last week *COUGH* you, me and nick* my question is that if you were never on the block would you have ever used your vote flipper? And if you weren't on the block was there anyone else in the house that you would have used your advantage on?
Thank you! Xoxoxooxoxoxoxxoxo
& good luck ladies ❤❤❤❤
Jackie: Thanks Meg! ❤❤
I was loyal to you because of our early alliance, but truthfully I never felt especially close to you. Before the alliance had been formed, we had barely talked, but both JMac and Nicole thought you would be a good alliance member. I did try to protect you in different ways early in the game as well. I mentioned this in another post, but when Victoria was HOH and wanted anyone who had voted against her out, I tried to divert focus to the other players who had. I voted out Cody when you were on the block against him. And I was voted out Candice when you were on the block against her as well. Of course that last one didn't work out so well...
I feel like Johnny getting out of the game so early due to abrupt inactivity definitely had an impact on our alliance. It never felt like it was going to get us to the end. There were so many other pairs and alliances forming and losing a member so early weakened us when we needed to be getting stronger. If Johnny had stayed and our alliance kept growing more and more solid, I think it could have been more successful. The bond we had formed so early in the game would have grown and with some of the drama that happened in the house, I feel we would have made it through to the end. I know personally at least, if the alliance was still there and strong near the end, my actions would have been a little different.
Candice: Thank you hun and so sorry about getting you out! Lol
Alright so with my eviction flipper power I had the opportunity to flip any eviction votes until the final six. I always intended to keep this as a secret to myself and only use it to save me. Since I was never nominated until the final week I had a chance to use it, it worked out wonderful for me!
Now if I was never nominated that week, it would honestly have to depend who else was on it. I would have liked to use my power just to cause a little chaos in the house, lol but since I don't know what would have happened if I wasn't nominated that week then I don't know who I would have used it on! It would all depend on who Nicole would have nominated or if Nick still uses his power and stuff, full of what if's. If Nick and you were the final nominees like it would have been if there were no power's in this game then I can say I would have used it on you and make sure that Nick get's evicted.
After a few more questions from Zach, Cody, and Nick the jury voted. In one of the most lopsided jury questionings ever, the votes were revealed and every jury member believed that Candice played the better game and made her the second unanimous winner in Recycled history.
