Week 9
Houseguests: Dustin Erikstrup, Nicole Schaffrich, Porsche Briggs, Renny Martyn, Sarah Hrejsa
We were down to 5 and the plan was for Dustin to be the next to go...
So I voted out Steven. It sucks, but I'm true to the Slayers, and that's what was best for us all. Now if Dustin wins HOH, I'm gonna be pissed. His ass better be out of here.
I wish that Jun had not betrayed me as I really do like her as a person. I think that we really could have gotten to F5 in tact had she not decided to blow up and self destruct. I am sure we could have come up with some plan forSteven to nominate Dustin that week if we had really set our minds to it but we couldn't risk her staying in the game and drawing that 1st blood she hoped for esp. where I am pretty sure it was mine!
The HOH competition was called "Any Takers?", where the houseguest had to take away Xs from each other until only one was left. At 1:30 in the morning, Renny walked away as the new HOH.
Okay, so the HOH was uncomfortable, lol. Having to attack each other at F5 - after Dustin was out first - was awkward. I knew I wanted Dustin out first and then Sarah, though. I would have been very unhappy if either of them had won HOH. I think both would have put me up - probably me and Nicole up together. So, it was pretty much a no-brainer that we would all take out Dustin first. I was talking to Porsche on AIM and Nicole by PM and I said we should take out Sarah next. I am still not happy that she was planning on saving Steven with POV last round. Whether she would have or not, I don't know, but the fact that she even thought of that...just made me nervous.
I think she was pretty pissed that we took her out. Her post on the board kind of made that obvious. Oh well, sorry Sarah. You snooze, you lose, lol. Just the fact that she attacked me and not Porsche with her last hit told me I made the correct decision.
At the nomination ceremony, Renny had only 2 keys to give out...
[To house]
Renny: Well, I can only hand out two keys tonight. I think it's obvious whose key won't be here. To the other one I have to leave out, I'm sorry...but it's all toward a common goal. So, I have nominated Dustin and Sarah for eviction.
Dustin, I don't think this comes as a surprise to you. It's nothing personal at all. Several things have come out including a F3 that I was a part of with you and Sarah that I had no idea about. I can't sit here and say I wouldn't have nominated you even if you hadn't tried to pit us against each other, though. It's just about loyalty for me.
Sarah, I'm sorry but one of you ladies had to go up this week. You're a great competitor and a fierce card-carrying Slayer. I think that's really all that needs saying.
So, that's it. There's no point in pretending at this point. I wish the two nominees good luck in the POV....but in all honesty, I want the Slayers to kick some ass.
So Renny gets HOH and she nominates Dustin and me, which isn't huge.
I love how everyone gets off of AIM. It's ok, I wasn't really in the mood for talking. I feel a little physically sick. I love the Recycled Series more than any other series, and I hate to see it go. At least i finally know the truth about where I stand, and these four are playing a really great game. I suppose what I tried to do wouldn't have mattered. I was their target all along. I hope i can put up a good fight.
This week's veto competition was "Name Search". Houseguests had to find either the first or last name of all 14 houseguests this season. With a time of 34 minutes, Nicole won the Power of Veto.
I literally could not find any more. I searched for first names, stopping at every letter, last names doing the same. I didn't want to give up, but there was just no way, even if I found the rest it would have taken me another hour. Now, I need to try to get the veto used on me, or get people to flip.
I'm trying to get Nicole to veto me, and backdoor Porsche, would really would be the best for her. Porsche is a huge threat. I've seen Porsche in action. She'll win every single challenge.
I could not do that veto. I thought I would be awesome at the word search, but I just had so much trouble with it.
was hoping Dustin or Sarah didn't win POV so I wouldn't have to put up Porsche, lol. She would've freaked out. They both sucked and thankfully Nicole won it so that's the perfect result short of me winning it. I think if Porsche had won, she might have saved Sarah in order to get Nicole up there. Out of the people left I know she feels least close to Nicole.
So yay. Nicole and I are in F4. I asked her who she wants gone. I almost want to keep Dustin since he sucked so much at POV, lol. I almost want her to save Dustin and put up Porsche...almost.
My goal is to go to F3 with Porsche and Nicole because I know they'd both take me...but I really don't want Porsche in the finals. Sorry, Porsche. I love you but you'd win the game. lol
I'm in the final four!!! I'm so excited about making it this far and I'm even more excited that my main ally in this game is, by far, the best competitor left in the house. I think I can hold my own in competitions but it definitely doesn't hurt to have Renny around to protect me too. This is where things start to get tricky, though. The plan is to evict Dustin this week. The plan has always been to evict Dustin last. Originally, that would have been in the final six, but after what happened with Jun, that was updated to the final five. But recently, Renny and I have been considering changing our plans and keeping Dustin around.
At the veto meeting Nicole kept her allies nominations the same.
[To house]
Nicole: Hello ladies and gentleman; welcome to the Veto meeting. No cabaret-style speech this week. I just want to say congratulations to all of us for making it to the Final 5 together. You're all amazing people and I love each of you for your own reasons.
Obviously, as a Slayer, I've worked closely with Sarah, Porsche, and Renny from the beginning of the game and I've gotten to know all three of you. The three of you are absolutely lovely women with senses of humour, strong competitive spirits, and the utmost loyalty. You're the coolest people to ever have an alliance with and I count myself super lucky to have played alongside you ladies for this entire game.
Dustin, although we didn't work together in the game, I had the privilege of getting to know you really well too, and maybe that's what makes our relationship special: it had nothing to do with game. I think you're an amazing guy. You have a totally irreverent sense of humour (which I like) and you have a great heart at the same time.
So, the bottom line is: I love you guys and I'm so glad to have made it this far in the game with you. And now, I'm done being mushy. Let's bust out the wine bottles and I'll tell you erotic stories (ie. fictional fantasies) about that time Dr. Will and I -
Oh yeah, this is a Veto meeting. I don't think this is a surprise. I've decided…not to use the Power of Veto this week. This Veto meeting is adjourned.
Before the vote, the Slayers were thinking of taking out Sarah as she was a threat.
Oh lawd. LOL Okay, so now Nicole AND Porsche are on board to keep Dustin.
I was talking to Nicole and we were going over pros and cons and one of her cons was Porsche being upset if we evicted Sarah...then I asked Porsche if we should keep Dustin and she said yes, then Nicole asked her and it's apparently all settled...and I don't even have to break the tie.
Dustin better keep sucking, though... that's all I can say. I want him out next round.
Porsche wants to keep him for F3...so that means Porsche can't win veto. I don't want to go into F3 with Porsche and Dustin. Ew.
So I guess my mind is made up. I feel wholly responsible for getting Sarah evicted from this game, and what's worse is that I knew that's what I wanted and I chose my language so carefully when I spoke to Porsche. I emphasized the tension between playing strategically and personally and waited for her to come to the conclusion that Sarah is the one that needs to go. I'm serious when I say that I underestimated the weight of personal relationships in this game. But it's something that has to be done.
Oh. My. God. This might work. Nicole says she's voting to keep me in because she thinks Porsche is doing the same, and on the chance it's a tie, I told Renny I'm going to be easier to beat in these important competitions, and if I won the veto, I'd cast the sole vote to keep her. (I probably wouldn't. There's no way I can beat her in F3. And if the choices are Nicole and Renny, I'm def. evicting Renny.), but she said that works for her, so who knows? I might have one more week to make a fool of myself! Or, actually use this Redemption Season to redeem myself!
I feel awful about evicting Sarah but it was the smartest game move. She is very strong in competitions and going into the final 4 I needed to start making some moves for myself in the game. Next week it would have been the 4 of us going against each other and the only one that I know for sure won't be after me is Renny. i also need to get over this damn veto curse I have. I have not won a veto all season!
At the eviction ceremony, Sarah was blindsided when her allies evicted her over Dustin in a vote of 2-0.
